WotLK Speculation: Not So Safe Skys

Fun, general WotLK speculation. Stuff I've heard. Take this all with a grain of salt.

Info: Storm Peaks (the mountainous/snowiest zone of Northrend) has no continuous roads. Icecrown Glacier has horde and alliance airships over the Litch Kings citadel. You get "Artic Flying" at 77 (same level as IG/SP), so you can fly your mount again. All flying things have had falling animations added. New mechanics for fighting while flying are being added.

Speculation: Storm Peaks and Icecrown Glacier may be the first flying-oriented zones. We've seen Blizzard do a few things in BC to curb the flying ability of players (They've stated they don't like people just flying over all obstacles, skipping challenges, etc): The Kilara birds in Skettis, Dragonmaw Skybreakers on Netherwind Ledge, and the Fel Cannons in Ogrila.

Now imagine two whole zones filled with such things. Ranged artillery from the walls of the Scourge walls. Partols of gargoyles and frost wyrms. Even dense storms or cloud cover to block your view.

Maybe we are safer on the ground.
